Carmelo Anthony shot a combined 17 times in the last two games while he averages 16 shots per game this season in the Thunder’s group effort to improve its ball movement.
“Not every night I have to score 20 or 30 points, and I’m good with that,” Anthony said. “It’s a good feeling, as long as we’re winning.” While he is averaging 41.3 passes per game for the season, Carmelo has delivered 46 over the past two games. During that span, the trio of Anthony, Russell Westbrook and Paul George has thrown a combined 154.5 passes per game, 19.4 more than its combined season average. Carmelo is providing top-75 value and even if his scoring takes a hit his numbers should only become better with better efficiency and more assists as a result of Billy Donovan’s adjustements.
