Carmelo Anthony may consider accepting a trade to the Cavs now after the Kyrie Irving trade according to Marc Berman of the NY Post.
Melo was not on the Cavs radar as they shopped Kyrie around the league and were more interested in Porzingis instead in trade talks with the Knicks. Now that the Cavs found a landing spot for their disgruntled star, they may be open to a trade for Melo and he also may have renewed interest in joining LeBron for a title run. Anthony was initially hesitant to join the Cavs with two years left on his deal due to rampant speculation that King James may leave next summer but anything can happen in today’s trade market with stars like Jimmy Butler, Chris Paul, Paul George and Kyrie already switching teams this off-season.
