• Cavaliers’ GM Koby Altman said that there is no timetable for Isaiah Thomas’ return, but that he expects him to be back ” at some point” during this season.

This was the exact reason that the Cavs were trying to get more from the Celtics before the trade was completed. They essentially traded a healthy Kyrie Irving for half a season of Isaiah Thomas. However, as long as IT is back for the playoffs it shouldn’t be that much of a burden for the Cavs. They still have the best player in the world in LeBron James and the East is far too weak for them not to be a top-3 seed, maybe even number two again. When Isaiah Thomas and LeBron finally do step on the court together, it will be a scary sight for a lot of teams.
