The Cavaliers are talking to Richard Jefferson’s agent about possibly waiving him in order to have the 15 guaranteed contracts needed for the regular season.
It seems like it’s either going to be Jefferson or Channing Frye, but Frye would have to be traded. The Cavs will most likely try to find a suitor for Frye before waiving Jefferson. However, it might be hard to trade Frye considering he’s 34 and is a pure shooter. Plenty of teams need that, but they could undoubtedly find it from someone younger than Frye.
