Celtics exercise fourth-year option on Jayson Tatum

The Celtics picked up the fourth-year option on forward Jayson Tatum.

Tatum has enjoyed two strong seasons out of the gate in Boston. It's no surprise that the Celtics want to keep him around. Expect Tatum to be drafted around the fifth round of many drafts.

Kris Dunn

Kris Dunn has elected to sit out the Bulls' upcoming three-week voluntary offseason program.

This comes as no surprise given Dunn's upcoming free-agency. His 2019-20 season ended prematurely due to a knee injury and while he appears to be fully recovered, he does not want to risk injury before deciding on a team for next season. Dunn remains one of the elite on-ball defenders in the league and is sure to warrant the attention of multiple teams over the coming months. He finished the season as a top-90 asset in 9-cat formats and should he land in a favorable situation, he could make for a sneaky late-round flyer type.

Dion Waiters

Dion Waiters (sore left groin) is doubtful to play against the Nuggets in Game 3 of the Western Conference Finals on Tuesday.

The Lakers have looked just fine without Waiters and even if he were to be available, his playing time would be almost non-existent.

LeBron James (sore right groin) has been assigned a probable tag once again for Game 3 vs. the Nuggets on Tuesday.

The Lakers continue to monitor James and his ongoing groin concern, although he is yet to miss any time, and should be good to go on Tuesday. He popped for 26 points in the Game 2 victory and it would be very surprising to see him on the sidelines as the Lakers look to build a 3-0 series lead.

Bruce Brown

Bruce Brown was able to establish himself as a regular part of the rotation for the Pistons this season but needs to be doing more if he is to be an impact player.

After a standout performance in the Las Vegas Summer League, Brown made the most of his opportunities during what was a disappointing season for the Pistons. He finished as a top-150 player in standard leagues, more than doubling his statistical output in multiple categories. Despite the increased workload, Brown still struggled with somewhat of an identity crisis and needs to work on erasing the ambiguity moving forward. If he can settle into a more defined role, Brown could be a player worth considering towards the backend of 12-team leagues next season.

Marc Gasol

The Raptors are unlikely to offer Marc Gasol more than a one-year deal in free agency as the team looks to maintain cap flexibility for the 2021 offseason.

It's no secret the Raptors' entire game plan this offseason will revolve around maintaining enough cap space to sign a max free agent in 2021. In light of that goal and various statements made by GM Masai Ujiri it seems the team is unlikely to bring back Gasol on a long-term deal. However, the big Spaniard is in the final years of his career and will probably be looking for a two- to three-year contract to cap off his time in the NBA. Of course there is also the recent report that he's considering returning to Europe. All these things considered, odds are Gasol won't return to Toronto next year.
