The Boston Celtics have spoken to the Minnesota Timberwolves about acquiring the no. 7 pick according to Michael Scotto of Basketball Insiders.
The Celtics just can’t help themselves. Danny Ainge has been hoarding assets and picks for years and continues to look around to grab value wherever he can. The Wolves are in a tough spot as Coach Thibs wants to compete for the playoffs and adding another young player at No. 7 doesn’t do much for that cause as he is in charge of one of the league’s youngest rosters. A trade for the Wolves makes sense if they acquire a young veteran such as a Jae Crowder (purely speculating here) who would fill many of the roster’s needs bringing toughness, defense and solid outside shooting
