The Celtics signed their No. 45 overall draft pick Demetrius Jackson to a four-year, $5.5 million contract on Tuesday.
The fourth year of the contract will be a team option. Jackson started three games and averaged 5.2 points, 2.0 rebounds, 1.2 assists and 1.0 steals in summer league for Boston. He was projected as high as a lottery pick by several analysts before the NBA draft and could turn out to be a steal long-term. The 6’1″ point guard is unlikely to see much playing time in a crowded Celtics backcourt.
