Channing Frye has agreed to a one-year, $2.4 million deal with the Cavs.
The Cavs traded Frye as part of the Isaiah Thomas deal last year and are now bringing him back. Frye fell off the fantasy radar last year as his minutes dipped to 13.1 per game and at 35 years old, he won't be worth drafting in standard leagues. If Tristan Thompson is declared the starter over Larry Nance, Frye is projected to compete with Nance, Ante Zizic and Okaro White for backup minutes at power forward and center. There is a chance he creeps up on the fantasy radar if he can get close to 20 minutes per game as that is probably all he would need drain two triples per game as he did in the 2016-17 season for top-150 value.
