Chris Paul found his shot on Sunday, logging 33 minutes and scoring 21 points on 8-of-17 shooting with four 3-pointers, four rebounds, six assists and two steals.
The minutes were a season high and he’s back at full throttle. He was a bit sloppy with the ball, committing five turnovers, but it’s great to see CP3 get into his groove on offense. Prior to this game he had been shooting 41 percent over the seven games with the Rockets, a mark that would be a new career-low. Paul is too good of a player to end the year on that mark and there was a small buy-low window with how he had been struggling. The Rockets are clobbering opponents and Coach D’Antoni is still figuring out how to maximize James Harden and Chris Paul together; luckily he’s staggering their minutes so they each get enough time running the offense by themselves which has been a boon for fantasy owners. The experiment of having two superstar playmakers is working out so far, which means top-10 fantasy seasons for both Harden and Paul.
