Chris Paul scored 13 points and added four rebounds and nine assists on 6-of-19 shooting from the field and 1-of-7 shooting from beyond the arc in 40 minutes in a Game 7 loss to the Jazz on Sunday.
The only 3-pointer Paul made was from the top of the key when Derrick Favors was switched on to him in the first half. He had an off game tonight, but he’s put the Clippers on his back since Blake Griffin went down and basically got them to this Game 7. Before this game, Paul was averaging 27.3 points, 10 assists, 5.2 rebounds and 2.0 steals. He’s a free agent this season and might choose to take his talents somewhere else due to the Clippers’ failure to make the NBA Finals since he was traded there in 2011. The Clippers have stated that they plan to keep Chris in LA but he still hasn’t made the Conference Finals throughout his entire career and might be wanting a change of scenery. His value will obviously depend on where he ends up next season, but he should still be a lock to be taken in the late first through second rounds.
