Chris Paul shot just 5-of-13 from the field on Friday night, finishing a rare loss with 14 points, three rebounds, three assists and three steals.
The steals were nice but Paul couldn’t get much going tonight. The Raptors played him tight and ran enough shooters off the line that Paul couldn’t rack up the dimes, though the most memorable sequence of the game for CP3 could be getting bottled up by full-court pressure from Fred VanVleet before committing a turnover. The Rockets fell behind early when their threes wouldn’t drop and James Harden carried the team back into a tight contest. Even in this off night, Paul tied for second in terms of team scoring, as Eric Gordon also scored 14 points. He did it on 5-of-14 shooting with three makes from deep. CP3 will continue to post top-15 numbers as the Rockets look to start a new win streak and secure home court in the Western Conference.
