CJ McCollum racked up 41 points, eight rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block on 16-of-28 shooting in 41 minutes in the Blazers’ game 1 loss to the Warriors.
CJ was unstoppable this game, completely on fire. Last year’s Most Improved Player showed exactly why he was given the award. No one could guard him, he even outplayed Klay Thompson. Usually when he goes off its because of a 3-point barrage but this game was different. He only attempted six 3-pointers and made four of them. CJ got his buckets from inside the paint and from inside the arc. There was a point in the first quarter where he just couldn’t miss. The Blazers will probably still lose the series, but don’t be surprised if they take a game off the Warriors.
