• Clippers’ starting point guard Patrick Beverley plans to play on the season opener, per Broderick Turner of the Los Angeles Times.

A sore right knee has kept Beverley out of practice since he was injured in a preseason game against the Blazers. On Monday, he took some shots before the Clippers practiced and did some drills with a brace on his knee without participating in the session. The plan is to ease Beverley through a workout Tuesday, ramp up things in practice Wednesday and then play him in the season opener Thursday against the Lakers at Staples Center. PatBev is a nice target in the late-middle rounds but his value might take a hit with the emergence of Milos Teodosic.
