Ahead of Saturday night’s game against the Warriors, Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said he was hopeful that Kawhi Leonard would be ready to play Monday.
Pop picks his words very carefully and it’s no sure bet that Kawhi returns on Monday, but he’s at least making progress. He rode the stationary bike today and seems to be working his way through the concussion protocol. He left San Antonio’s last game after being hit in the head but doesn’t look to be in danger of missing too much time. His eventual return will send Kyle Anderson and/or Jonathon Simmons back to the bench.
