Damian Lillard sprained his left ankle was “real sore” after landing on somebody’s foot in Tuesday’s loss to the Mavs, as he left the game late to finish with 29 points, five boards, eight assists, two steals and one block in 35 minutes.
“I think I have a pretty high pain tolerance but I’m going to be smart about it,” said Lillard. “It’s the end of the season, we’re going into playoffs so I have to be smart that one thing doesn’t turn into another.” The Blazers have a 2.5 game lead over the Spurs with four games to play and the Spurs have their own issues right now, so they have every incentive to play it safe.
