D’Angelo Russell had his best game since returning from injury on Wednesday, dropping 22 points , five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block on 8-of-15 shooting from the field and 2-of-5 from three.
Russell came off the bench per usual, but looked as relaxed and poised as he has in the weeks since returning from his knee injury. He managed to compile that stat line in just 17 minutes of work too. It’s only up from here for Russell, who’s minutes should continue to gradually increase and as the season progresses, he’ll be back in the starting lineup and doing this on a nightly basis.
