D'Angelo Russell dropped 25 points on the Pistons in Monday's win, adding two rebounds, one assist, one steal and five 3-pointers as well as a 10-for-22 shooting line.
Russell hit a 3-pointer in the closing seconds that put the Nets in front before they'd go on to take the game in overtime. His lack of production in the other categories tonight wasn't great, but as long as D'Lo is hitting his shots without destroying his percentages fantasy owners won't complain. It certainly looks like he'll be the starting point guard to open the year and Spencer Dinwiddie posted five points, six rebounds and three assists on 2-of-10 from the field in 23 minutes. Russell played 32. The efficiency and turnovers will really hurt him in 9-cat but Russell is a nice late-middle round play in 8-cat leagues given his upside.
