D'Angelo Russell really cooled off in Friday's win over the Nets, going for 12 points, three rebounds, four assists and two triples while picking up four fouls in 24 minutes.
All good things come to an end, and Russell's had the roller coaster of news lately. Spencer Dinwiddie may or may not need surgery and miss the next month-plus, which is good for D'Lo, while Caris LeVert could return in February, which would be bad. There's also the matter of his recent bender looking like an outlier in the context of his full career, so a sell-high deal is probably the play here. There's no debating that Russell has taken a big leap forward this year, however, and that's just generally nice to see. Basketball is more fun when everyone is, you know, good.
