• The Sixers have made a lineup change ahead of Wednesday’s game, welcoming J.J. Redick back from injury while also starting Dario Saric in place of point guard Jerryd Bayless.

This one comes as a bit of a surprise, though it’s a nice creative way to get Saric more minutes with first-unit players. The Sixers don’t necessarily need a true point guard like Bayless given the passing acumen of Ben Simmons, so we’ll see how this arrangement works out. Saric wasn’t a standard league value coming off the bench but this could do him a world of good, and we wouldn’t fault you for a speculative add just to see how he performs tonight. On the other hand, this could be a death knell for Bayless, who was already operating as a secondary playmaker even as the starting point guard.
