David Fizdale's post-game interview on Friday hinted that Tim Hardaway is part of their future only because of his contract.
In the midst of talking himself into corner trying to explain playing Lance Thomas over Enes Kanter, Fizdale threw out this quote: “Tim Hardaway Jr. is making $18 million for two more years with us. He’s a part of our future from that standpoint.’’ This may be true but very odd for a coach to say. Although averaging career-highs across the board as the Knicks' lead man, Hardaway is shooting only 38.7 percent on the season and is 33.3 percent over the last four games. He is unsurprisingly on the trade block as was reported a couple of days ago.
