• Deandre Ayton

Deandre Ayton's successful rookie season ended on the sidelines on Tuesday with a left ankle sprain.

Ayton wasn't able to finish off his season due to a sprained ankle which cost him 11 games, but he had impressive rookie season. We pegged him as a guy who would take advantage of a friendly situation on the offensive end and he took care of business there, averaging 16.3 points on .585 shooting. He also hauled 10.3 rebounds and was able to deliver some defensive stats with 0.9 steals and 0.9 blocks per game. His improvements on defense in the latter half of the season were noticeable and he finishes the year a top-35-40 value in 9/8 cat leagues. There's definitely room for improvement and although he's not as flashy as his fellow rookies, Ayton has already shaped up into a borderline elite fantasy asset.
