• DeAndre Bembry is hoping for more minutes in the Hawks rotation this season and has been focusing on improving his shooting according to HoopsHype.

“My goal next season is to play more minutes,” Bembry said. “I just want to get out there. I feel like that’s all I really need – a chance to get out there – and then I’ll be able to show what I can do.” Bembry was a force in Summer League for Atlanta, averaging 17.0 points, 4.5 boards, 3.3 dimes and 2.8 steals per contest on 56.5 percent shooting. The forward needs to be on watch lists this season. The Hawks are in rebuild mode and will want to see what they have with their youngsters at some point. Kent Bazemore and Taurean Prince are ahead of him on the depth chart so it will likely take an injury or poor play before he sees significant minutes.
