Clippers’ beat writer Brad Turner reported that DeAndre Jordan is opting out of his $24.1 million option for the 2018-19 season.
Additionally, Adrian Wojnarowski is reporting that as an unrestricted free agent, he’ll negotiate a deal with the Dallas Mavericks. Assuming the two sides can reach an agreement, the Mavs will finally have gotten their center to run pick and rolls with Dennis Smith and Luka Doncic. This also means that Wesley Matthews (and his $18.6 million contract) isn’t likely to be traded. D.J. still has until 11:59 P.M to change his mind should the need arise like the last time he was courted by Mark Cuban. Stay tuned.
