Delon Wright played 28 minutes on Wednesday, ending his regular season with nine points on 3-of-10 shooting with two steals and a triple.
Wright is stuck in the third PG spot for Toronto but has played well enough to earn playoff rotation consideration. Things may also change next season, as the Raptors have at least three players they’d like to re-sign in free agency with very little to trade out that clears enough cash. One exception is Cory Joseph, who posted two points in just six minutes tonight. If Joseph were to be shipped out, Wright jumps up to the sixth man role and may emerge as a low-end guard whose length leads to plenty of steals and above-average rebounding numbers. That’s all hypothetical, of course, but just something to file away. Dynasty owners should be encouraged by his late-season performance regardless.
