DeMar DeRozan finished Friday’s 122-115 overtime win with a game-high 29 points, going 8-of-23 from the field but 12-of-14 from the line while adding four rebounds, six assists, a steal and a 3-pointer against the Mavs.
The Raptors were mentally checked-out for about 40 minutes tonight, and luckily for them the Mavs did a ton of questionable things late in both regulation and overtime that gifted the game to the Northsiders. DeRozan had some issues driving tonight and felt the squeeze from a conservative whistle but did do plenty of damage at the line to boost his scoring totals. He was fully expected to take on extra work with Kyle Lowry resting and delivered on that promise, efficiency aside. Be on the lookout for a rest day over the next week or so as the Raptors are running away with the top seed out East.
