Dennis Schroder returned to the lineup on Tuesday night and posted 18 points (6-of-16 shooting), eight assists and a 3-pointer in 33 minutes of action.
He sat out a game against the Bulls with a sprained left elbow. Schroder’s inefficient ways carried over to the free throw line, where he finished 5-of-8. At least he was able to balance things out a bit by committing only one turnover. Schroder should be a fine point guard play whenever he’s on the court but you just can’t be sure when the Hawks will opt to give him a short night for tank purposes. You can only put him in your lineups and hope. His backup, Isaiah Taylor, popped up on the injury report but played tonight and scored 12 points while dropping four dimes in 21 minutes.
