Dennis Schroder was the catalyst in the Hawks’ 105-99 win on Friday night, scoring 26 points on 9-of-18 from the field to go with six boards and five assists.
All is well after he was benched for arguing with Dwight Howard. He’s scored 23, 31 and now 26 over his past three and has been handed the reigns going forward. He’s also been shooting well, hitting at a .483 clip in his last five. That should dip a bit considering he’s .460 on the season and .434 in his career but you’ve got to ride him while he’s hot. Interestingly it was Jose Calderon and not Malcolm Delaney playing backup tonight- that’s a good sign for the German as Delaney has stolen his minutes in the past. Just something to keep an eye on.
