• Dennis Smith Jr. - G - Dallas Mavericks

Dennis Smith Jr. (mid back tightness) has been ruled out for Friday's game against Minnesota after not traveling with the team.

The Mavericks only have one road game, so this does not necessarily mean DSJ is out for multiple games. It will be his second straight game missed. Jalen Brunson should be a fine streamer with DSJ out while J.J. Barea can help assist-needy teams; Devin Harris gets a slight deep league bump.

  • Damian Lillard - G - Trail Blazers

Damian Lillard is available for the Blazers in their game vs. the Cavs on Wednesday.

Looks like Lillard's right hand strain is not going keep out of tonight's game. He might not need too much time to put up a big line, considering the Blazers should likely blowout the Cavs in this one.

  • DeMarcus Cousins - C - Golden State Warriors

His minutes and exact fit in the rotation is unclear at this point but DeMarcus Cousins will be given the chance to start by coach Steve Kerr on Friday.

Even with the start, Cousins will likely have a minutes restriction. This will be the first time we'll see him take the floor with the rest of the Warriors' core four players, so keeping an eye on their chemistry is a must.

  • Rudy Gay - F - San Antonio Spurs

As per coach Gregg Popovich, Rudy Gay will be in the Spurs' starting lineup on Wednesday vs. the Mavs.

He's missed five games with a sprained left wrist but has been deemed good to go by his coach. Gay will have a shot at getting back on track on his renaissance campaign in 2018-19, delivering mid-round value. He's been one of the season's more pleasant bounce-back guys, crushing his late-round ADP.

  • Wendell Carter Jr. - F - Chicago Bulls

Wendell Carter Jr. (sprained thumb) will not play on Thursday.

In addition to the thumb injury, Carter apparently underwent an MRI on his left knee that came back negative. He'll be re-evaluated again on Friday but is said to be day-to-day, so hopefully he's not out long. Robin Lopez and Bobby Portis should see the largest increases in playing time for as long as Carter is sidelined while Jabari Parker and Cristiano Felicio are also in line for more minutes.

  • Dennis Smith Jr. - G - Dallas Mavericks

Dennis Smith Jr. (illness) has been ruled out of Wednesday's game.

Smith is still under the weather and won't even be in the arena, per Rick Carlisle. Because nothing is ever drama-free in the NBA, Smith tweeted earlier this afternoon about meeting a fan while out for lunch. He must really be feeling it. The trade rumors will continue to swirl here until a move gets made.

  • CJ Miles - F/G - Toronto Raptors

C.J. Miles (hip soreness) will not play on Wednesday.

Miles continues to be dogged by a hip issue. He's not in the rotation at the moment and shouldn't be on any fantasy rosters.

  • Michael Porter Jr. - F - Denver Nuggets

Michael Porter Jr. (back) has been able to do shooting drills at recent practices.

There's still no timetable for a return and the expectation is that he'll be out for the whole year. We'll update you when he's cleared for contact, though it's nice to know that Porter is doing some kind of basketball activity.

  • Isaiah Thomas - G - Denver Nuggets

Mike Malone said that there's still not timetable for Isaiah Thomas (hip).

Thomas continues to make progress, apparently, but there's still no word on when he might be able to return. He was recently spotted taking jumpers but there's really no reason to get excited about IT's return until we get a date range. Even then he's only a stash, and with plenty of maintenance days likely coming we'd steer clear outside of deep leagues. Late-middle round numbers are possible but it'd take an almost-perfect storm.

  • Gary Clark - F - Houston Rockets

Gary Clark will draw into the starting lineup on Wednesday night, with his move to power forward pushing P.J. Tucker to center.

It'll be an interesting look for Jarrett Allen to deal with from the Brooklyn side of things. This could be a regular look for Houston with Clint Capela out for the next month, and deep-league owners should keep an eye on Clark's game tonight.

  • Zaza Pachulia - C - Detroit Pistons

Zaza Pachulia (right lower leg contusion) is available on Wednesday.

Pachulia will return from an eight-game absence tonight. Khyri Thomas is inactive as a result and Jon Leuer should see less playing time going forward. The fantasy community is still reeling from the aftershocks here.
