Dennis Smith Jr. was in New York and met with Phil Jackson but did not work out for the Knicks.
Smith Jr. is in the mix to be drafted in the top-10 and with the Knicks sitting at No. 8 with no long-term point guard on the roster, one would think the Knicks would work him out and take a look. It is hard to understand why the work out did not take place but with the Knicks front office alienating their players left and right, it isn’t too shocking. The Knicks are also interested in Malik Monk and Frank Ntilikina at their draft slot as they figure to add to their backcourt through the draft. Hopefully they get those workouts planned up and follow through.
