December 30, 2018, 9:56 pmDennis Smith Jr.G, Dallas Mavericks
Dennis Smith Jr. scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting in 27 minutes in a win over the Thunder on Sunday.
The only downside to his game tonight was the turnovers as he had five of them. However, this was his second straight good performance coming off of a wrist injury, so that is a good sign for Smith Jr. and the Mavs. He is still only a deep-league guy, but some people may value him higher based on name and potential, so get a trade off if you can.
November 21, 2019, 12:39 amChristian WoodPF, Detroit Pistons
Christian Wood was sighted being productive on Wednesday, chipping in 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting with 10 rebounds, one assist and three blocks in just 18 minutes of action.
This was a tantalizing line coming from Wood, who has been inconsistently teasing managers with explosions of value this season. Until he can show he can do this regularly, or if Blake Griffin is sidelined with an injury (again), Wood is not worth using in standard leagues.
November 21, 2019, 12:36 amRobert CovingtonSF, Minnesota Timberwolves
Robert Covington put together a strong defensive outing, picking up two steals and three blocks to go along with 11 points and three boards on Wednesday.
The five defensive stats are great to see, and while it's above his season average, there's no reason to think these kind of nights are a fluke. RoCo is looking primed to be a top-50 player this season.
November 21, 2019, 12:35 amAndre DrummondC, Detroit Pistons
Andre Drummond shot uncharacteristically poor from the field on Wednesday, going 3-for-10 for six points in a loss to the Bulls.
Drummond made up for his low-scoring output with contributions in other areas. He added 14 rebounds, four assists, two steals and three blocks in his 34 minutes on the floor. He's been a top-15 player in 9-cat this season, so we expect a bounce-back performance from the big guy soon.
November 21, 2019, 12:30 amJeff TeaguePG, Minnesota Timberwolves
Jeff Teague had a rough night shooting, going 2-of-9 for 12 points to go along with four rebounds and six assists on Wednesday
Teague is floating right around top-120 value with a chance to get into the top-100. He should have better nights than this one and his ability to collect assists should carry him a bit.
November 21, 2019, 12:29 amAlec BurksSG, Golden State Warriors
Alec Burks scored 11 inefficient points on Wednesday, going 3-of-11 from the floor while adding four rebounds, four assists, a steal and a triple in 29 minutes.
Burks has always been an inconsistent fantasy player, and the bigger role he’s seeing now hasn’t changed that too much. Nobody on the Warriors could do a thing tonight so he gets a pass, but he’s a tough guy to rely on night in and night out.
November 21, 2019, 12:27 amEric PaschallPF, Golden State Warriors
Eric Paschall shouldered the scoring load again in Wednesday’s 94-142 blowout loss to the Mavs, finishing with 22 points (8-of-19 shooting), seven rebounds, a steal and a triple in 40 minutes.
The Warriors seem content with just riding Paschall on offense with nobody else on the roster nearly consistent enough to match his production. Continue to roll him out there for the points and rebounds, but don’t expect too much else.
November 21, 2019, 12:24 amJarrett CulverG-F, Minnesota Timberwolves
Jarret Culver struggled to get things going in 24 minutes on Wednesday, shooting 4-of-14 from the field and ending with 10 points, four boards, a steal and two 3-pointers.
Culver is an interesting player when injuries plague Minnesota's backcourt since he has shown he can collect defensive stats. But at the moment, he isn't worth owning outside of deeper leagues and keeper leagues.
November 21, 2019, 12:19 amRudy GobertC, Utah Jazz
Rudy Gobert had a block part on Wednesday night, swatting five and still putting up 12 points and 15 boards.
Gobert got off to a slow start this season but seems to have found his grove, in part to two five-block efforts recently. In the last two weeks Gobert has been a top-25 player and is starting to play his way back to an early-early round asset.
November 21, 2019, 12:13 amDonovan MitchellSG, Utah Jazz
Donovan Mitchell turned in a solid out on Wednesday, putting up 26 points, seven boards, two assists, a block and five threes.
It'd have been nice to see the assists bump up a bit, but it's always nice to get a block and seven rebounds from the guard position. Mitchell is floating around top-30 value currently, and that's about where he'll end the season.
November 21, 2019, 12:07 amBojan BogdanovicSF, Utah Jazz
Bojan Bogdanovic dropped 30 points on Wednesday night, including going 6-of-11 from deep, tallying on four boards, three assists and a steal.
Bogdanovic knows how to score and hit threes, and being able to add 1.5 steals per game to his line this season, he is producing mid-round value. It's above his ADP, but he hasn't shown any signs of slowing down.
