The Wolves and Derrick Rose are reportedly finalizing a one-year deal.

Rose nearly walked away from the game last season after a tumultuous stint in Cleveland. He found new life under his old coach Tom Thibodeau, and despite long odds he actually looked alright in the playoffs. Jamal Crawford is already gone and the team has pledged Tyus Jones more minutes, so Rose could slot right into Crawford's old role as an off-ball guy or push Jones over to the two more frequently. This is far from a surprising development but the cash will be the deciding factor on whether it's worthwhile or not.
