It’s been quite a whirlwind for Rose, who took some time away from the team to evaluate his future in basketball. It appears he’s been persuaded to see this one through, though he still has to work his way back from an ankle injury without a concrete timetable for return. The fit in Cleveland was never a great one, and there’s no guarantee that Rose will return to a starting job since Isaiah Thomas appears to be nearing his Cavs debut. At this point it’s safe to let Rose hit the wire, as he was never a thrilling fantasy asset even when he was locked in as the starting point guard.
