Derrick White (heel) is expected to miss at least 6 to 8 weeks.
This is a big blow to the Spurs who have already lost Dejounte Murray (ACL) for the season and Lonnie Walker IV (torn medial meniscus). White was expected to open the season as the starting point guard after a promising Summer League. Patty Mills has thrived in a bench role, but Spurs head coach Greg Popovich may have no other choice as the other option to start at point guard, Bryn Forbes, is naturally a shooting guard. Mills is the one to add off of waivers if available, while Forbes is worth a speculative add in deeper leagues.
