While the NBA cannot ignore the increasing rate of COVID-19 cases in Florida, high-level team executives are reporting that the NBA remains confident in the Orlando bubble.
Adam Silver is taking the danger associated with COVID-19 seriously, but the league is optimistic that they've taken the necessary precautions to proceed forward. Moreover, the largest case concentrations are in South Florida, not near Orlando, as central Florida has not seen as large of an increase in comparison. This moment is a reminder that the path ahead is going to be a bumpy one, and the NBA can only control so much of what is taking place outside of the Orlando bubble.
