Dillon Brooks wrapped up his rookie season in style on Wednesday, scoring a career-high 36 points on 14-of-22 from the field to go with seven rebounds, two steals and three 3-pointers against the Thunder.
Brooks closes the books with a bang in a year where he suited up in all 82 games. That propelled him to a top-160 finish despite per-game output that landed him outside the top-220. The Oregon product started his season well with a surprising 19 points on opening night but faded for the season's middle months, bursting back onto the scene with top-80 value over the final two weeks of the year. The dearth of talent on the roster pushed him into attack mode down the stretch, and the Grizzlies will benefit in the long run from him playing as the go-to guy at times this year. Brooks is one to build around.
