Dillon Brooks had another decent game on Monday, scoring 16 points on 7-of-13 shooting with an assist, a steal and two 3-pointers.
We urged you to be cautious with Dillon Brooks due to his inconsistency and shaky stat set, but after his last five games, he’s an asset that should be owned. He’s been given minutes before and dropped absolute dud performances after teasing us with strong outings, but it looks like he’s finally found some consistency. Over his past five games, he’s averaging 20.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.8 steals and 2.4 3s on 49.4 percent shooting. There’s still the issue of his fantasy game being too one-dimensional and if you take away his points you’ll see that his lines are very bare. The high efficiency is ballooning his value, but we doubt that Brooks will become a 50 percent shooter to finish the year so the lines will start to fall back to Earth. He should be viewed as a 3-point specialist.
