Dirk Nowitzki was an efficient 7-of-11 from the field on Saturday night, finishing a loss to the Hawks with 18 points, three triples, six rebounds, four assists and a block.
That’s a really solid game from Dirk, who can no longer be counted on to drop gaudy scoring totals or hearty double-doubles. He’s still producing middle-round value this season but has absolutely no upside. There’s legitimate shutdown risk and owners shouldn’t feel compelled to view Nowitzki as a must-hold these days. On the other side, if your roster is constructed such that Dirk’s quiet consistency fills some holes, feel free to keep rolling with him.
