Dirk Nowitzki was a poor 6-of-15 shooting in Boston on Wednesday, finishing a loss with 16 points, six rebounds, two threes and one steal in 28 minutes.
Nowitzki’s best fantasy days are long behind him, and he’s at a new low this year. Top-120 seems like a solid neighborhood for him and should also shield you from potential disappointment. He’ll have a nice scoring night every once in awhile but can’t diversify his output like he used to and is looking more and more like a specialist for fantasy purposes. It could be the end of the line for Dirk, as the Boston crowd gave him some applause in pregame intros tonight. When that stuff starts to happen, you can sense that an informal farewell tour could be coming as the season winds down.
