• Donovan Mitchell
    SG, Utah Jazz

Donovan Mitchell scored 16 points with 10 assists as US beat Poland 87-74 on Saturday to finish seventh place in the tournament.

Mitchell was an efficient 5-of-6 from the field and 4-of-4 from downtown but the bigger story of course was USA's disappointing showing as this was only the second time that they finished outside the top-3 in the FIBA World Cup since 1978. Kemba Walker (neck), Jayson Tatum (ankle) and Marcus Smart (hand/quad/calf) all sat out the final game as they now have two weeks to rest before the start of training camp.

  • Romeo Langford
    SG, Boston Celtics

Romeo Langford will not play on Tuesday after suffering a right knee sprain on Sunday.

Another tough break for Langford, who has been battling injuries throughout camp and going back into his last year at college. It sounds like an injury that could affect his availability at the start of the season, so there's no need to monitor him outside of deep-league drafts.

  • Jayson Tatum
    SF, Boston Celtics

Jayson Tatum (illness) did not practice on Monday and will not travel to Cleveland for Tuesday's game.

There's no need for the Celtics to push their young star for the last preseason game. Expect a skeleton crew from Boston tomorrow night, which should bring lots of value to the DFS table. Tatum remains a solid top-60 selection in fantasy drafts.

  • Kevon Looney
    PF-C, Golden State Warriors

Kevon Looney (right hamstring strain) will not play on Monday night.

Looney suffered the injury nearly two weeks ago and we haven't had much in the way of updates since. It's opened the door for Marquese Chriss, Eric Paschall and Omari Spellman to impress in the preseason, and though Looney is tentatively expected to be ready for opening night, his lack of activity is concerning. He remains a late-round pick given that he's likely to lead the Warriors' centers in playing time but his draft stock is falling as the time on the shelf stacks up.

  • Juwan Morgan
    PF, Utah Jazz

Juwan Morgan (left ankle sprain) is questionable for Monday's preseason game.

Morgan missed Friday's game but his absence doesn't change the fantasy landscape. He's likely headed to the Salt Lake City Stars this year.

  • Jonas Valanciunas
    C, Memphis Grizzlies

Jonas Valanciunas' (foot soreness) goal remains to be ready for opening night.

Valanciunas has been ruled out for the remainder of the preseason and ended up missing the entire exhibition slate, though he did get some action in with Team Lithuania. The Grizzlies recently called JV day-to-day so the hope is that he'll be ready to rock when the games matter. If he isn't, it would open the door for Brandon Clarke to carve out a larger role. Valanciunas remains a quality middle-round target while Clarke is one of the higher-upside rookies in his class, which makes him a late-round flier in most formats.

  • Dion Waiters
    SG, Miami Heat

Dion Waiters was not back with the Heat at Monday morning's media availability but could still return in time to play on Monday night.

Waiters has been away to tend to a personal matter but it was expected that he'd be good to go for tonight's matchup with the Hawks. If he can't, or the Heat don't want to throw him right back into action, it could mean more minutes for players like Tyler Herro and Derrick Jones Jr. Waiters is a weak draft target in 12-team leagues but a top-150 season isn't a crazy projection.

  • James Johnson
    PF, Miami Heat

James Johnson will not play in Monday's preseason game against the Hawks.

It was thought that JJ would be ready to go but he still needs a bit more time to get ready after showing up to camp out of shape. He may not have a major role to open the season but his ability to rack up peripheral stats makes him a guy to place on watch lists.

  • Dusty Hannahs
    PG, Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies have signed guard Dusty Hannahs.

Hannahs appeared with the Grizzlies while on a 10-day contract last season but saw limited action. He shouldn't factor into the rotation this season given Memphis' guard depth, and this is likely a move made with the G-League team in mind.

  • Matt Mooney
    PG, Memphis Grizzlies

The Grizzlies announced that they have waived guard Matt Mooney.

Mooney logged three minutes in preseason play. This doesn't affect the fantasy landscape at all.

  • Emmanuel Mudiay
    PG, Utah Jazz

Emmanuel Mudiay (left hamstring soreness) is questionable for Monday's game after going through practice on Sunday.

Mudiay has missed the last two preseason games but should be able to win the backup point guard job anyway given Dante Exum's own injury troubles. He's a handcuff for Mike Conley but won't have standalone fantasy value.
