Dragan Bender delivered 15 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, three 3-pointers and two blocks in 38 minutes in Tuesday's season-ending win.
Bender was an efficient 5-for-6 but that passivity was part of his problem this year. There's absolutely no excuse for a player of his raw ability to take only six shots considering who some of his teammates were tonight. Bender was able to play in all 82 games this season, which helped him along to top-185/205 value on the full season. He was a top-250/270 player on a per-game basis, and despite his potential to chip in rebounds, threes and blocks Bender simply has to take more than 6.8 shots per game to hit the next level. Last season came with the excuse that he was injured and the Suns played him sparingly even when healthy, but that won't fly this time around.
