Draymond Green logged 47 minutes on Thursday night, finishing up a Game 1 win with 13 points, 11 rebounds, nine assists, five steals, three blocks and two 3-pointers.
Green had some rough moments in the first half and was catching some heat for his threes but ended up hitting a pair of huge triples, including one in overtime that was more or less the dagger. He was also the center of a late "gathering" after he taunted Tristan Thompson for getting ejected and then took a basketball to the chops for his trouble. Green did pick up a tech earlier in the evening so perhaps the refs felt it a bit harsh to eject him for the late activity, even if Green was given an excessive amount of slack. It's a little surprising that they let it slide but it could end up being huge as Green is nearing a suspension for his techs. If nothing else, his pantomime of pom-poms in the direction of Kendrick Perkins was pretty funny. There are also some shots circulating of Kevin Love standing on the court as Green and Thompson came together, so the poor officiating could lead to a suspension-watch heading into Sunday.
