• Dennis Smith Jr. - G - New York Knicks

Dennis Smith Jr. scored 16 points on 6-of-13 shooting while handing out eight dimes with two boards, a block and three 3-pointers on Thursday.

Smith Jr. was the safest play on the Knicks until Emmanuel Mudiay (10 points on 4-of-10 shooting with a rebound, six assists and a 3-pointer) came back into the fold. You can argue he's the better guard to own due to his secure starting status, but the minutes were split evenly tonight at 28 apiece which isn't a good sign.

Fantasy News

  • Richaun Holmes - F/C - Phoenix Suns

Richaun Holmes (right quad strain) returned to practice on Wednesday and will suit up to play against the Pistons on Thursday.

Holmes has had a productive last two games with avergaes of 11.5 points, 8.0 rebounds and a steal in 15.3 mpg. He's an option in deep-leagues for those needing big man stats, but doesn't play enough to provide value elsewhere.

  • Kelly Oubre Jr. - F - Phoenix Suns

Kelly Oubre Jr. (left thumb sprain) did not practice on Wednesday, and his status remains iffy for Thursday's game against the Pistons after sitting out Monday vs. the Bulls.

This is unfortunate news for Oubre owners, as he has been awesome as a member of the Suns, providing top 40 value in nine-cat leagues over the last two months. Josh Jackson and Mikal Bridges both stand to absorb the majority of Oubre's 32.9 mpg over the last month for as long as Oubre is out, and are well worth a look as we see how this situation plays out.

  • Pau Gasol - C/F - Milwaukee Bucks

Pau Gasol (left ankle soreness) is out for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.

The Bucks are taking a cautious appraoch with the veteran big man. When Gasol returns, he could see a few extra minutes off the bench with Nikola Mirotic expected to miss the next few weeks.

  • George Hill - G - Milwaukee Bucks

George Hill (left groin soreness) is out against the Cavs on Wednesday.

Hill doesn't offer much fantasy value backing up Eric Bledsoe, but there are some extra minutes available with Malcolm Brogdon out. Hill can be ignored in fantasy.

  • Donte DiVincenzo - G - Milwaukee Bucks

Donte DiVincenzo (heel) is out for Wednesday's game against the Cavs.

Pat Connaughton and Tony Snell will continue to handle the majority of the minutes at the two, while DiVincenzo and Malcolm Brogdon are out.

  • Ersan Ilyasova - F - Milwaukee Bucks

Ersan Ilyasova (illness) is probable to face the Cavs on Wednesday.

Ilyasova seems to be over the illness that kept him out of Tuesday's game. WIth Giannis Antetokounmpo questionable and Nikola Mirotic out a few weeks, Ersan may end up in a starting role and see a nice chunk of minutes as a cheap dart in DFS.

  • Giannis Antetokounmpo - F - Milwaukee Bucks

Giannis Antetokounmpo (right ankle sprain) is questionable to play the Cavs on Wednesday.

With the news that Nikola Mirotic is out for the next few weeks, the Bucks need Giannis back on the floor. If Giannis can't give it a go Ersan Ilyasova and D.J. Wilson will have the PF spot to themselves, and make for decent streaming options in a good matchup.

  • Nikola Mirotic - F - Milwaukee Bucks

Nikola Mirotic (slight left thumb fracture) will miss at least the next two-to-four weeks.

Mirotic just can't catch a break this season. D.J. Wilson, Ersan Ilyasova and Pau Gasol will have to pick up the slack and mend the blow. Mirotic can safely be dropped in all leagues with this news.

  • Maxi Kleber - F - Dallas Mavericks

Maxi Kleber (left wrist sprain) is out for Wednesday's game against the Blazers.

This is tough news for owners, as Kleber was playing very well these last few weeks with top 70 value in 9 cat leagues. Dwight Powell, Dorian Finney-Smith, Dirk Nowitzki and Salah Mejri should absorb the 28.6 mpg Kleber has recieved the past two weeks.

  • Zach LaVine - G - Chicago Bulls

Zach LaVine (right thigh contusion) went through shootaround and is probable to play the Wizards on Wednesday.

This is great to hear if you own LaVine. With Otto Porter not playing on Wednesday, there will be even more offensive upside for LaVine. Fire him up as usual.
