Dwight Howard scored 19 points in just 24 minutes in Sunday’s big win while Mike Muscala played the majority of the second half to finish with 12 points in 25 minutes of his own.
Howard shot 9-of-12 but only gathered five rebounds and picked up a swat. ATL was down big and it was the bench that chipped away, so Howard was left on the pine due to the flow of the game. Muscala shot 5-of-6 with five rebounds, four assists and a block and actually worked in this matchup without Tristan Thompson to bully him down low. He hit a huge corner three late to turn the tide as well. Moose has always had intriguing potential and will often flash per-minute production that raises some eyebrows, but this is likely a one-off. He’s worth streaming if Howard rests down the stretch but that’s about it.
