According to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, most people in the Bulls organization believe Dwyane Wade will exercise his player option.
Wade will be forced to choose between staying home for his $23.8 million dollar player option or opting out to play for a contender for what is likely a drastic pay cut. The odds are he stays in Chicago and plays out the contract to collect one last pay day as he approaches the twilight of his career. There are rumors that Wade would come off the bench next year for the Bulls as well which may suit him and help keep him healthy through the regular season grind. His days as a 25 point scorer are over but he could be an effective 6th man at 25 minutes a game.
