Payton has been out since October 20th and missed shootaround, but he’s back tonight in an appealing matchup against the KP-less Knicks. We’d be surprised if he gets his usual workload right from the jump and Orlando would be wise to play it safe with their point guard. Jonathon Simmons will head back to the bench but is still worth holding, as he’s far outplayed incumbent starting small forward Terrence Ross and was surprisingly effective in a spot start at point guard. There’s a bit of a buy-low window open for Payton if he can avoid re-aggravation in the coming days, so look out for that.
