Emmanuel Mudiay (ankle) was unproductive in his return to the starting lineup on Saturday, scoring just four points with two assists.
Mudiay played 23 minutes but did nothing with it, shooting 2-of-6 and committing a turnover. Jamal Murray was just as bad, as the rookie scored two points on 1-of-6 shooting in 22 minutes. And while both young guns struggled, it was once again the veteran Jameer Nelson who outplayed both of them, scoring nine points with three assists in 26 minutes off the bench. Both Mudiay and Murray have upside as NBA pros, but as their struggles continue it will be hard for coach Michael Malone to keep Nelson off the floor if the Nuggets have any desire in trying to win games.
