• Emmanuel Mudiay finished with 15 points, seven assists on 5-of-15 from the field, 2-of-4 from deep and 3-of-5 from the line In Tuesday’s win over the Pelicans.

Mudiay had his second straight strong performance in a row after hardly playing over the last two months. The former first round pick was needed in light of Jameer Nelson (calf) sitting out the last two games. As soon as Nelson returns most of the young guard’s minutes will be cut with Jamal Murray being the preferred backup in Denver.  The Nuggets are only a half game back of the eighth seed and will be relying on their veterans to get them over the hump. If Nelson sits out another game, however, then Mudiay could be of use as a spot start.
