The Nuggets starting backcourt of Emmanuel Mudiay and Will Barton struggled mightily against the Jazz on Wednesday, going a combined 1-of-14 from the field.
Yuck. Mudiay added one assist and literally nothing else, while Barton managed five boards. The Nuggets starters were absolutely run off the floor by George Hill and company, and their backcourt’s inability to hit a shot had a lot to do with it. Despite averaging 15 points, five boards and four assists on the season, Mudiay’s shooting and turnovers have regressed from the second half of last year and he’s currently posting value outside the top-225 in standard leagues. He’s at real risk of losing more playing time to Jamal Murray.
