At Danny Ainge’s recommendation to expand his range, Enes Kanter has taken that call to action seriously, making it the focus of his offseason development program.
His new team doesn’t necessarily need him to be Al Horford and try to replace the departed center as a pre-eminent shooting threat, but Kanter will need to demonstrate his touch to keep with the flow of the offense. This offseason has been focused on readying his body for the ball as it comes his way and stepping into a quicker and more efficient shot. The shot is still a work in progress, but Kanter expects to find a rhythm over the next month before heading back to Boston for training camp. The Turkish big has always been an offensive force and expanding his range could help his fantasy game even more.
