Enes Kanter wants to stay with the Knicks next season but he won’t say whether it’s 100 percent definite until he hires a new agent.
The Turkish big man has one year left on his contract and is set to be paid $18.6 million next season but it is no longer laughable to consider opting out and seeking a long-term deal after an excellent year. Kanter has already netted a career-high 32 double-doubles and he’s one of the best offensive rebounders in the league averaging 14.3 points and 10.8 rebounds per contest while shooting 60 percent from the field. He has been returning top-50 value for his owners and should finish the year strong for a team desperate for his scoring inside.
